Beyoncé (born Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, September 4, 1981 in Houston, Texas) is an African-American R&B singer, actress and songwriter in the group Destiny's Child. She is usually referred to by only her first name, Beyoncé, which is her stage name, but has come to be called "Beyoncé Knowles" by many in the media. Her debut solo album, 2003's Dangerously In Love, topped both the R&B and pop charts in America, as well as the main album charts in Canada and the UK. The album has spawned four top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including "Crazy In Love" featuring partner Jay-Z and "Baby Boy" featuring Sean Paul, both of which were back-to-back multi-week number ones on said chart during last summer and fall. Beyoncé has won five Grammy Awards for her solo work and three as a member of Destiny's Child. As a teen, she attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, where she honed her musical talents.

The Black Eyed Peas are an American hip hop crew from Los Angeles, who have lately enjoyed massive international pop success. As Atban Klann, they signed to Ruthless Records (run by Eazy-E), but their album was never released because the positive and peaceful lyrics were too unusual for Ruthless.
 
Blink-182
Blink-182 (formerly known as blink) is a Southern-Californian pop punk band that was formed in 1991 by Tom Delonge and Mark Hoppus. The band name is usually not capitalised.
 
Blur
Blur is a British rock band, consisting of Damon Albarn (vocals/keyboard), Alex James (bass), Dave Rowntree (drums) and, until 2002, Graham Coxon (guitar). Since Coxon's departure, ex-Verve guitarist Simon Tong has joined Blur for live performances. It is, as yet, unclear whether Coxon will return or if Tong will officially join the band at some point.
 
Bon Jovi
Bon Jovi is a rock band from New Jersey, USA that sold a total of 90 million albums in the 1980s and 1990s and played live concerts in major cities in Asia, Europe, Australia, Canada and South America, in addition to a large number of cities in the USA. Bon Jovi have sometimes been classified as Hair metal- sometimes even regarded as the forms prime shapers - but have proved much more durable than most groups so labeled.

David Robert Jones (born January 8, 1947), better known as David Bowie, is a British rock and roll musician, actor, and artist who has had a profound influence on rock and roll from the 1960s to the present.
 
Carpenters
The Carpenters were a 1970s vocal and instrumental duo, consisting of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter. With their brand of melodic pop, they charted a score of hit recordings on the American Top 40, becoming leading exponents of the "soft rock" or adult contemporary genre and ranking among the foremost recording artists of the decade.
 
The Chemical Brothers
The Chemical Brothers are an English electronic music duo, comprised of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons. Initially they called themselves "The Dust Brothers", after the noted US production duo of the same name, but their burgeoning popularity and the threat of legal action from the originals led them to change their name in 1995. Along with The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim and a few other lesser-known acts they were pioneers of the big beat electronic dance genre, and are known for high-quality live sets.
