| Chrisopher Reeve has died. But his vision of a “Cure” has not. Mr. Reeve, who became a quadripilegic after a horse riding accident in 1995, was best known as advocate for stem cell research which promises cures for spinal cord injuries. Shortly before his death he had planned to get behind a little known biotech driven offshore By President Bush’s restrictions on stem cell research. The “Cure” didn’t reach Christopher Reeve in time. But a cure for the paralysis that plagued the star –and ultimately led to his death may be in the test tubes in a basement lab in a small carribean island.

I am pretty sure he will show up on the Forbes billionaire list next year. Not a bad business…Robbing banks, if you have the conscience for it! Don’t worry about the country, the International Monetary Fund stepped in to replace the stolen money, no questions asked. The American Embassy screamed for justice in the scandel but to no avail. |

Needlesss to say it is very unlikely that any stem cell cure will come from the good old USA. President Bush has frozen science in time dated back to four years ago. We simply are not going to wait for four more years to get started. I also just don’t like Big Brother breathing down my neck. He has nothing to offer except red tape, detours and roadblocks. Thank God there is a world outside the United States. We have packed our bags and michroscopes and gone offshore. To find the cure we have had to adopt the motto “Have Michroscope Will Travel.” Science doesn’t have time for politics and religion to catch up. Nor does Gen Cells Cures have time for bureaucratic smoke and mirrors.
